The hotel is at the Runway 06R end on the resort. If traffic is landing runway 24L (usual configuration) they can be read off as they vacate. Numerous aircraft can also be seen and read off from the GA apron both in day and darkness as the area is well lit. If landing from over the sea traffic can be seen rolling out half way down runway 06L, although due to the terminal building only the top half of the aircraft can be seen. Depending on heat haze aircraft can be read off when its clear, however in the height of summer flight tracking programs may be required. Rooms 539-549 are ideal for viewing and the lower floor range 439-449 should be just about ok. Any floor lower than the 4th would give only restricted views at best. In room 543 the socket is next to the balcony door making it ideal for the use of a laptop, chances are the power sockets will be located in a similar position in other rooms. |

| Hotel Marina Luz | ||

Provides excellent views of the traffic at this busy airport. The hotel is situated in the family resort of Ca’n Pastilla just 15 minutes taxi ride from Palma airport. The hotel is thoroughly recommended with friendly staff and great food. The slight down side of the hotel is that you can only see traffic on the one runway, therefore you will miss some movements, however this hotel gets you closer to the action and a great photpoint for 06L is only a 2 minute walk away.
When booking this hotel ask for a top floor room overlooking the Bay of Palma. From here great views of the aircraft are seen with the Bay Of Palma providing a beautiful backdrop.

| is located in the same area of Can Pastilla as the Hotel Alexandra below, however it is a couple of streets nearer to the airport. The hotel is reported to offer great value for money. Staff know about plane spotting and will do their up most to accommodate you best rooms. The hotel manager has in the past opened up the roof of the hotel for aircraft spotters so always ask at reception (the roof is officially out of bounds so please do not venture up there without permission). Bike hire is available from the hotel for 5 euros per day if you wish to venture around the perimeter to the local photo points. | ||

Ask for a high level floor looking towards the airport (room 528 has been reported as the best room as it is on the end of the hotel with a balcony). From this area you can monitor both runways and read off most of the traffic. Rooms 514-526 also give similar, if more limited views. Best room is 528 which gives you views of the GA/BIZ ramp and both runways. If you can’t get this then 526/7/6/5/4/3/2/1/0/519/8/7/6/ There are big windows next to 528 which over look the airport and get you everything that moves and part of the biz ramp, just one big tree in the way. When booking ask for a top floor room. Numbers 601 / 602 and 613 / 614 / 615 / 616 offer views of the general aviation and cargo aprons. This hotel is regarded by many as the one which gives you the best overall view of the airport if you secure the correct room overlooking the airport. | ||
