| Is probably one of the best hotels to spot from in Sharm. The hotel is split into two sections, old and new section. The old section of the hotel is on the sea front and has a small sandy beach and has three swimming pools, and the new section of the hotel has 4 swimming pools and is located nearest the airport runway. The new side of the hotel is the side you need to ask for when you make the booking.When you make the booking ask for a room in in block 4, All rooms in this section starting with 41.., (4 being the block, and 1 being 1st floor), all have a front balcony outside your room door facing the airport, and all have a balcony inside your room over looking the pool. Note Rooms starting 40.. are on the ground floor and you will see nothing apart from plants !!!, meaning a walk up the stairs to the 1st floor to see the airport |

If the landing direction is over the hotel (75% of the time) many aircraft can be read off from the pool with your naked eye. Blocks 2800,2900 and 3000 are best for spotting from their large balcony’s

Sonesta Beach La Royle: This is the ‘posher’ part of the sonesta beach complex. If you take someone with you that enjoys a bit of luxury, this is not to be missed, superb rooms with balcony, and if requested a room with a ‘view’ the hotel are very helpful, we had 5121 which overlooked the pool and all arriving/ departing came just to the right. I did do some searching and found 5259 was probably the best, one floor higher and no roof to the balcony so the numerous OTT’s can be viewed easily. There is a busy airlane over and with sbs all can be seen.
We had one week there in Feb, the temp was good, high 70-90 over the week and at 260 sterling for 7 nights, all inclusive, was the bargain of the year. As we departed the receptionist even asked to see my log! |

From room 2502 was able to photo everything taxying out for take off when using northerly runway 04R as wind is predominately from the north. The hotel is very good, all inclusive. You are not able to take landing shots as hotel is opposite holding point for 04R. You would get good shots as aircraft are turning off the runway if using 22L. I would like to stress you need a good digital camera for taxying shots as the holding points has palm trees in the way. It is much better to photograph when taxying from terminal area opposite. SBS was used in the hotel, the hotel was ok with it. |

| Is located on the southern airport perimeter. Certain rooms have views of the Runway 04R touchdown zone. The hotel is reported to have a very large pool complex and is ideal for families. |
