| Location: | *** | Fantastic location with a walkway connecting the hotel to the airport. The hotel has free wifi in all areas and a great restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and evening meal (buffet style) along with a costa coffee. The hotel pool has a fridge with a free supply of bottled water. As it is connected to the airport, a further range of restaurants and fast food (McDonalds) can be found inside in a ten minute walk from the hotel down the connected walkway. The hotel has free parking for those driving down from Dubai. An UBER ride from Dubai Deira Hotels to the Premier Inn is around £45 for the 1 hour 20 minute journey. You could also book the UBER to drop you at the Dubai World Central Airport on the journey down. The advantage of UBER is that your journey and fare is agreed prior to the pick up, your driver will know exactly where you would like to travel to. A free shuttle bus operates to Abu Dhabi City and YAS Island for those looking to sightsee or visit Ferrari World Theme Park or the waterparks. |
| Spotting: | *** | Great for spotting. The hotel has a rooftop pool which overlooks a lot of the airport. There are also a couple of power points around the pool area available for recharging laptops etc. At the time of writing the pool was open 0730-2200. Certain rooms also have views over towards the airport, with roomS 517 to 524 all have confirmed views of the runways and taxiway directly in front of you. All of these stated rooms have double beds along with a large sofa and roll away bed availability which could allow up to 4 people to sleep in the room. The best views can be had from 5th floor rooms, however these are smoking rooms and must be booked at the time of reservation. Fourth floor rooms also have adequate views. Alternate views are also available from the corridor windows.
Whilst rooms 520-524 give optimal views, other rooms with more restricted views are in the range 501-508, 556-561, 517-526. There is a large window at the end of the corridor next to room 508 which gives a view over onto the taxiway between the two runways. Aircraft parked on the actual terminal building are blocked from sight however the taxiways and parallel runways are fully visible therefore any aircraft movements can be seen. Aircraft on the taxiway and nearest runway can be read off with binoculars, aircraft on the far runway require flight tracking software (however they have to taxy to the terminal anyway so you would get them on the taxiway. The new terminal building is nearing completion, once operational a number of stands will be visible at a distance from the Premier Inn, all aircraft should still be visable once taxing to and from the runways. The rooftop pool is open from 0730-2200 and has plenty of table and chairs. There are numerous power points for laptops (3 pin uk style). The free hotel wifi works very well on the rooftop pool area. |

No photography signs have been posted around the pool area. and the rules are been enforced by the hotel staff. Depending on which member of pool staff is working, optics may be allowed but being the Middle East this is not recommended in public areas. |

| Is the hotel to use if taking your family out to Abu Dhabi with you. This is a luxury beach hotel with all of the expected facilities including infinity pools, health club, spa etc. It is an excellent compromise between a spotting and family holiday. The excellent Ferrari World Theme Park is only 10-15 minutes taxi ride away which offers thrilling rides for all ages with one of the worlds fastest rides. OTHER YAS ISLAND HOTELS
Yas Island is situated on the approach and climb out (depending on wind direction) and therefore it is reasonable to expect that other hotels on the Island may offer views of over flying aircraft. The Yas Island Rotana has confirmed views from room 926 of the approach or departures (depending on wind direction) as well as distant views of the cross taxiway between the parallel runways.

OTHER ABU DHABI HOTELS WITH VIEWS OF AL BATEEN EXECUTIVE AIRPORT AND ABU DHABI INBOUNDS
The Traders Hotel (featured on the AGODA website) and Ritz Carlton (click on the AGODA link) are both luxury hotels with beach areas located abeam a 1 mile final to Al Bateen Executive Airport. No Airport views are reported, however inbounds and outbounds can easily be seen from the beach area. In addition, when on the north westerly runways (used mainly in day time), inbounds to Abu Dhabi Intl Airport overfly the hotel at around 8000 feet and are tied up on flight tracking software. Both of these hotels are ideal for couples and family breaks, with the chance to see some aircraft as a bonus.
